- Kick-Off event each September at the Science Museum of Minnesota. See photos of the 2008 event. The 2009 Kick Off is Thursday, October 1, 2009.
- Nobel Conference hosted by Gustavus Adolphus College on October 6 and 7, 2009.
- The Tekne Awards host by community partner, the Minnesota High Tech Association, takes place every October. This year's event is Thursday, October 22, 2009.
- giiwed'anang North Star AISES Alliance. American Indian Science and Engineering Society student chapters across the Alliance meet for weekend retreats several times per year. Check the events calendar for the next retreat. For more information, contact Alyssa Burger.

- North Star STEM Alliance Spring Research Symposium takes place in April on the University of Minnesota Twin Cites campus. Alliance students and African-American, Hispanic/Latino, and Native American graduate students are invited to present posters on their research. See photos of the 2009 event.
