Research opportunities at UM Twin Cities this summer

McNair Scholars 

The McNair program is a great opportunity​ for students planning to go to graduate school in a STEM field​. ​I​t includes the most intensive training for graduate school applications and testing in addition to the research experience.

Priority deadline:  January 23, 2017 (They will take applications on a rolling basis after January 23rd
​, and are usually looking for more STEM applications.  In this case, it is better to submit a strong application a few days late than a rushed application on time​.) ​

Multicultural Summer Research Opportunities Program (MSROP)
This program helps match students with researchers.​  It also offers several seminars on skills needed for research and preparation for graduate school.​

MnDRIVE 

This program offers research in ​two MnDRIVE initiatiaves:  ​brain conditions and environmental remediation.  We will ​choose up to ​6 students.  ​This program does not include additional workshops, but we invite these students to join in the evening social activities of the MSROP program​.

Life Sciences Summer Research Opportunity Program - LSSURP
This is a summer program which combines all the biology-based Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) programs at the UMTC.  
Deadline is February 15.
