Why internships?

An internship allows you to test out what you've learned in the classroom and introduce yourself to the professional world. The North Star STEM Alliance encourages students to apply for internships in industry as a means of career exploration and to develop technical and professional skills.

How do I find an internship?

Internship opportunities are regularly posted on the North Star STEM News page.

North Star STEM Alliance community parter, The Minnesota High Tech Association, has created a job board with STEM Summer 2010 internship opportunities.

Internships are also available directly from sponsoring companies. The best place to start is your institution's career center. Career Centers are an excellent resource whether you are just beginning your college career or nearly finished. In addition to information about internships, your career center can provide you with information about:
