Short biography
Once I have received my undergraduate degree I would like to go to graduate school or medical school to learn more about public healthcare. I am a certified EMT and I enjoy learning about various aspects in science and medicine.
Research and collaborators
My summer research involved deciphering the changes in the cell wall composition of a mutant version of the plant, Arabidopsis when it was infected by a bacterial pathogen or a fungal pathogen. The results of this experiment will show whether or not the changes in the cell wall composition will have an effect on pathogen resistance. This could help to advance the use of biofuel by helping to engineer plants to be more susceptible to microbes and to modify them into sugars that will be converted into biofuel.
