Study Abroad/International Opportunities

There are many international learning opportunities open to students in the Alliance. The first place to start with with your campus study abroad office. Other programs, open to any student, can be found through the Learning Abroad Center at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities, which has opportunities for UMTC students as well as non-University students.

Diversity Abroad is another resource with opportunities for students from diverse cultures and backgrounds.

The PLATO Proposal is a great site for more information on financial aid and scholarships for learning abroad.

The Gilman International Scholarship Program offers grants for U.S. citizen undergraduate students of limited financial means to pursue academic studies abroad. Such international study is intended to better prepare U.S. students to assume significant roles in an increasingly global economy and interdependent world.
